Pastor Andrzej Stepanov

Pastor Andrzej Stepanov, the senior pastor of KChWE „Spichlerz”, was ordained as a minister in the „Embassy of God” Church in Kiev by Apostle Sunday Adelaja. The ceremony was conducted with participation of pastor Joseph Materra and members of the spiritual council the “Embassy of God” Church including pastor Natasha Potopajeva. Pastor Stepanov is a member of ICA (International Coalition of Apostles), an organisation founded by Peter Wagner.
Pastor Andrzej studied biblical theology (specializing in the Old Testament), he is also a professional foreign language teacher. He authored a book „Zbuduj Mi Świątynię” („Build Me a Temple”) and numerous articles. He is a respected spokesman and conference preacher in country and abroad.

Pastor Andrzej was born in Drohobycz, Ukraine in 1968. He grew up in an atheistic family. When he was 19 during his military service he was acting as a radio operator and he heard a prayer in the radio in which the name “Jesus” was repeated. The sound of that name touched him greatly. From that time he started seeking a living God and he tried to fulfil his calling attending a seminary, living in monasteries and finally studying biblical theology in Warsaw. He planned to take holy orders in a Greek Catholic (Uniat) Church on Ukraine. However, even during the course of his studies he started ministering in the Roman Catholic charismatic communities (“Odnowa w Duchu Świętym”) to reach as many people as possible with the message of Gospel. During that time he was also convinced that the power of the resurrected Jesus is real and still performing miracles. While ministering he saw people experiencing God’s work, deliverance and joy. Many people were converted and God was healing many diseases – not only physical but also deep wounds of soul. Unfortunately, this manner of God’s work was soon condemned as standing in opposition with the generally established principles of Catholic Church, although it does not contradict the Bible – personal letter from God to man – which clearly states:
”When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9,1-2, NIV)
It is God’s design to make Jesus Christ known to all the world, through accepting the Gospel in our lives and the healing that comes from His wounds.
Because the Roman-Catholic hierarchy demanded to cease this kind of ministry and teaching, pastor Andrzej had to make a hard choice and leave the Catholic Church to proceed with ministering in freedom in Jesus’ name and sharing the Gospel.

Currently, pastor Andrzej Stepanov is also a fulfilled husband and dad of 7-year-old Dawid and 3-year-old Anastazja, and his wife Maja is a pastor in the Spichlerz Church as well. They are a happy family, satisfied and full of love. Pastor believes that wife and children are a gift from God and give true happiness.

The cornerstone on which pastor builds the Church is a deep revelation on the reality of God’s Presence in the life of a man. Only the true and real encounter with Jesus Christ, face to face, enables a change in life to happen – to start a life in holiness, without sin and guilt.
